yo a very stupid question i know

i bought today an old (already used) YAMAHA keyboard for 30 swiss-francs (ca. 35 $) ...

http://www.suchebiete.com/details_Keybo ... 40101.html

but how can i record my melodie into the mpc? for example: i made some drums with the mpc, lay down the sample, but then i want to record the bassline with my new keyboard :) how can i do that?

the keyboard only have 1 AUX OUT... i've already tried to go into the mpc with a http://www.musicplace.ch/catalog/images/MCC-50SW.jpg <--- JACK CABLE .. and then at the mpc: INPUT. but it doesnt works.

midi out from keybaord to midi in on mpc, midi out from mpc to midi in on keyboard. make sure your track is set to the correct midi chanel and set to a midi track rather than a drum track, hit record, play notes ;)

afterwards you can sample the output and trigger from a drum track as normal
rtm if you need help on specifics, its all in there

Maybe the aux-out is dead. Did you hooked it up to your stereo to see if the signal from the keyboard is even going out? If thats not the case then you got defected cables.
I own a DJX-II and that has a aux out too. I use mono rca to two mono 1/4'' plugs and it works fine.

the cable is new, so it can't be defect :)

i've already tried the keyboard with my mixer. i just hooked up the keyboard with my mixer, and it works.

but when i hooked it up with my mpc, i can't hear anything. maybe you're right, i need a mono to 2x mono cable. but now i have onlny mono to mono. so it should work on one side (L or R)... but it doesn't :D
