I dont know whats happening here, somethings wrong with my mp!

I have an XL. When i load up a drum program I have saved pad A3 is tuned WAY down (I would imagine the value would be around -90)......But the value in the Tune: field reads 0. (In the program>params AND trim>params) I assign the sample to ANY other pad (Yes, I checked all 64) and the sample is normal.

Im trying a fresh sample now......

.....same thing!!

I have the manual and read it a million times(I went and got it triplicated, one for the lab, one for each bathroom), but there is nothing to go off of in it. Anyone experience this problem or have any ideas??? Im rebooting the mp and retrying in the meantime.... wish me luck!

First of all I would try a factory reset - Mode, Other, Init.

If that doesn't fix it, we can start looking for the problem :D

strange... Never heard of this problem before. Your sure in the trim screen that you dont have the sample tuned down? Cause u know when u tune in the trim screen it doesnt show in the params screen.

no, the I placed the same sample onto pas A3 & A4. Like I said before, the A3 pad plays the sample at roughly -80 or -90, but A4 or any other pad will play normally. If the tune parameter was changed in the trim window, the sample would be detuned on all pads it was assigned to, so that cant be it. The program>params window shows the tune field to have a value of 0. Ive gone in and initialized all parameters under the other>init. menu as well, and no change to the tuning on that pad....Its really wierd because in banks B, C & D, pad 3 plays out normally. Its only in Bank A when this happens.

Ive been around for a while and I rtfm, so I dont ask too many questions unless Im really stumped or want a fast answer (most of my posts are in the off topic forum). I think there has only been one question Ive asked that required the assistance of a guru (Rohan) to find a solution to.

You sure you ain't got the NV slider addressed to that specific pad? Maybe something is **** up with the NV.
