Reviews and questions about the entry-level MPC500

Hi MPC masters!
I've just gotten the MPC500 and started making some "primal" beats on the little beast. I have read the manual references to the basic operations (which seems written by a robot :). I've spent the whole day today trying to figure out how to save my beats so that I can load them up tomorrow? As I understood from the manual, I've saved my work as a Sequence and also as a Program. I cannot find the bloody thing when I'm loading up from the card. It's like I'm not actually saving onto the Mem. card.
In a few words, can somebody explain to me the right way to save my work so I can load it whenever and wherever I need it.

Many thanks,

JuNky

the best way i found is make a new folder, use "save entire project" make sure you are in the new folder (it doesnt go in there when you make it so use the cursors to get in there) then hit done, itll save the lot

to reload use load folder, theres a known bug that wont load all samples back in under certain circumstances with load project, but load folder works 100%

oh and be sure you are using the latest os which is v1.13 iirc

+1 this is what I do on my 1000, but same concept.

I like phono's MPC the most..... I like his modification on the pads...

Get on your knees and pray 'cause its the best way, yes the best way.
J.K. man :D

Really save entire project works, but loading entire project can sometimes can be buggy. So load the project in parts, like load program and samples then load songs.

Respect to you guys. Thnks. I only hope one day I'll pass on the knowledge to someone new :). Until then...I'll probably be the one asking many..many other questions.

Thanks again.

Peace, juNKy
