Problems with reason Midi Channels

I am having problems with my Reason midi channels. On channel 1 i have dr rex, and on channel 2 i have subtractor. The problem is that the Dr rex loop plays with the subtractor patch, even though i have set my advance midi devices to there own individual channels?? But, i can play the subtractor by itself on midi channel 2. On midi channel i get both?? Any thing i am doing wrong, tried everything i could think of?

ON my Mpc, i have it set to Track 1 Midi/Device: Device1/ midi 1a(dr.rex)...Track2 Midi/Device: Device2/ midi 2a(subtractor)

make sure that the TRANSPORT is selected in the reason sequencer! sometimes something else gets selected and all incoming midi gets stolen by that device. very frustrating user error that is hard to pin down, then you smack yourself in the forehead when you realized that it's reason's silly design.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!! That was it!!!! Was really frustrated for hours know that i had set everything up correctly, except for that! Who would have thought?
