jpeg wrote:again most of u r very dumb, im not saying the pros that have been diggin for 15 - 20 years have a monopoly on all the records im saying that that having the connections they have and the fact they are in the production for living means they can devote more time to it add to the fact they have digging for longer they would of had a greater exposure to records.

so this means they have come accross more records then u so alot of dope **** they have either had access to and passed over.

does anyone really think that a dope record with lots of open loops and sounds will end up in the dollar bin? hell no cos its gonna be a sought after recrod that it will not filter down to ur local charity shop.

be real u faggotts im not saying u dudes dont make dope beats so i aint interested in checking ur myspace im saying dont lie to urselves u cowards.

that aint to say u cant make dope **** and flip the same records in interesting ways but dont delude urself into thinking u discovered a new continent someone has seen that same records that u found in ur local record shop.

**** you. Don't ever call me stupid. I copped a private pressing funk album the other day in the dollar bin that goes for $100 on eBay. How is that for a rare record in the dollar bin? Eat my shit. You are a dumbass. Not to mention I am calling you out on your bullshit because you called me and everyone else here som dumb shit. Post up a beat. Let's hear your shit because I am about to **** burn you.

**** all your noise. Let's get to business. You can stop posting or post a beat.
Not to mention if you were standing in front of me I would back hand **** slap you for calling everyone in here some shit like that.

Not to mention I never hated and just posted in here and you directed that shit towards everyone.

Jpeg has a point, if his point is that a lot of records have been sampled, and there are many producers that have record collections and resources that are tons better than ours.

The thought that jpeg is missing is that so what? These records are basically just instruments to us, and not everyone has the same ear and will play the same sh!t with them.

There are a lot of people who own pianos and guitars and it doesn't stop them from making music just cause there are superstars out there that have loads of expensive instruments.

Sure these producers have lots of records, but have you noticed that most of them aren't sampling anything all that rare anymore? They have the collections, but almost all of them aren't taking chances, and are just sampling stuff that's been sampled before. There's nothing wrong with that, but there is still room for people with a totally different ear to make some heat even with the same records.

+1 jpeg has a decent point, but calling everyone faggots and being a general **** about it makes no one actually see what he is saying. Plus he is taking it to far saying everything has been sampled.....

finally someone called 'one' has shown some logic and reason, i can agree records are sound soruces that u mine and re-interepret.

my contention was with with people advising peeps new to digging not to get records that anyone else has used, which was not a good look cos potentially any recrod u pick up has been used by someone.

but if u can flip in a fresh was that is the challenge to diggers, yes there are still rare records but dont think that the shit ur finding in ur local dollar spot is shit no one has ever seen.

that just niave as for calling dude faggots if u act like bitches ima call u a **** just the same i aint mad at no one posting on the net.

if ur catching feelings and cant discuss shit sensibly without flaming then u a net tough guy and i dont care for that.

but thats what happens when emo nerds get into hip hop and try and co-opt the shit with some tight jeans and a skateboard n scooter thats why u aint thinking straight and thinking the truth im speaking is wrong.

any dudes dissin is on some vaginal shit and u know it.

so what u copped a private press? ur letting ur ego get attached to digging thats why ur vision is clouded. u can cop any record u want and still **** suck everyone knows thats.

Of course people have seen it. That is why they press multiple copies. But it is still a great experience if YOU haven't seen it. So go ahead and be objective about digging all you want, but it is a subjective thing.

You have been doing this shit the whole thread.

LOL. I don't know what you are on, but I am not an emo nerd.

LOL. Once again you started calling people names first and so I responded to you bullshit.

So you want me to detach my ego from record digging? Okay Buddha chill out. I am not detaching my ego and self from anything right now. Not to mention you are sitting there saying I suck and can't make beats, but I have yet to hear yours after calling you out. I got 10 or 15 waiting here if you want a couple.

When you talk ignorant you get treated ignorantly. And by calling everyone faggots and dummies for participating in your thread, that's ignorant. Maybe if you would've kept a cool head and stuck with your guns on this topic, then maybe we could've understand your point and this could've been an interesting thread. But ''TRYING'' to put people's dedication to vinyl down is just insane.
Shiii, I get happy when I find records that Pete Rock or Premier touched, its interesting to know how these giants think when they're crafting stuff. Not to mention the thrill of picking up a sample they didn't flipped. But you wouldn't know that because you stay home like a big nerd on the computer looking for samples, when the iller shit is on vinyl.

 you're the one acting emo, jpeg.

I still don't get why you're so caught up in not being able to find original samples to use when you admit that your only sample sources are from blogs where people post records up for you. Of course you're not going to find original samples that way.

I know I don't own a record that nobody else owns. That's ridiculous.

But you can ask objectiv - I just sold him a crazy drum record that you can't buy even if you wanted to. I'm sure someone else has it, but the internet doesn't have it. None for sale or for download on your blogs.

And that's what makes it worth while.

The hunt is the thrill. I don't care if someone has sampled it. They had to go through the same ish I did to find it. Sometimes I buy records just because other people have sampled them. I will recognize a sample and think about how awesome it is that some other producer touched this and used it and I want to see how they flipped the original.

Not to mention I love vinyl. Period. It smells good, it sounds good, its a challenge to find good vinyl, etc. So for me it isn't just some pragmatic approach either it is something that is exciting and not just a tool. You are getting closer to old performances of these bands, because the format is analog and pressed from master plates.... It isn't just digitized....
