Files from Computer on the MPC 2k xl?

a dude will buy his mpc2000xl with an external ZIP DRIVE and some zip discs. the price is 500 Fr. (= 515 $).

now i have the mpc 500, and i pretty much like it, because it's so simple with the usb, to load samples into the mpc.

but when i've the mpc2000xl, how can i load my samples from the computer, on the mpc? btw. in the zip drive...

maybe i need a scsi card for my computer?

i'll record my samples directly into the mpc, but i've to load my kicks, snares, hi hats and some other stuff on the mpc.

you can get a zip drive for your computer or you can get a flashcard reader for the mpc...simple as that!!

yeah i know, but then i need still a SCSI card for my computer, to hook the zip drive with my computer?

Throw that zip drive off the window and buy your friend a CF drive. It will save you both time and frustration.
