trackin beats

ok so i finally ordered a midiman uno usb midi port for my computer since my omni studio interface didnt have one and now i want to start trackin shit out since my beats are muddy as hell comin out the mpc...my MP XL has the 8 outs but i only have 4 ins on my interface, 2 1/4 and 2 xlr..im runnin logic, and i am a midi newb. would i connect midi out mpc> midi in computer? shoould i use midi clock or time code for sync?

connect the midi out of the computer to the midi in of the mpc.

I hear ya brotha. just connect mpc stereo outs of mpc to those 1/4s ins of your interface.

thats the thing tho..i dont want to simply "two track" beats into logic. i want to track everything out from my samples to the kick drum and have everything seperated onto tracks so i can eq and mix everything. Am i wrong to want a midi port on my comp for this? i understand that midi data is not audio, but i want to utilize my eight outs even though my interface only has 4 ins..so i want to connect 4 of my MPC outs to the INTERFACE ins and then record and seperate it that way...but four outs isnt enough for a lot of my beats, so when i reconfigure my mpc outs for different things i want to bea able to record 4 NEW tracks into logic right beside the four i just recorded, but i want everything to be synced exactly how i have it on my MP...how do i do this?!?!

You will have to do multiple passes, but you will have to slave the MPC to your computer so that all the separated tracks will be synchronized.

Connect 4 of your MPC audio outputs to your soundcard.
Next go into the MPC mixer and select the individual output mixer.
Then assign your sounds to 1,2,3,4 outputs.
Setup your computer to send midi beat clock to the MPC.
Set MPC to follow MIDI sync IN.
Arm your tracks for recording and your are set - RECORD!

Repeat the sound assignment until all of your sounds are dumped into the computer.

Ok,set your computer sequencer to send midi clock, being sure that you connected computer midi out to mpc midi in, set sync in midi clock on midi/sync page on mpc;connect outs 1-4 from mpc to compute ins 1-4, play-rec on compute.Then, do the same for outs 5-8 and then you're done.
You may think a little offset could appear beetween tracks 1-4 and 5-8, ok maybe, but it's far too short to be heard... Just give it a try and tell me in case...
