When I overdub-record making multiple passes; say turning it on, recording a part and turning it off all without stopping playback, maybe even do this a few times, eventually I cannot tell if overdub is on or off because the overdub light won't come on. I have to stop playback to get the light to work again.

Does anyone else have this problem?

It has happened almost as long as I have had the unit, I usually deal with it by stopping playback.

I can't stop playback if I want to MIDI sync with my friend's Electribe while jamming.

If you can recreate the error like that, and the light does come on. It sounds more like a software error than hardware. You could try reinstalling or upgrading your OS and see what happens. :(

I had the same thing happen to me MANY times. I tend to leave the sequencer running and switch tracks/programs on tracks while it runs, and record out a whole beat like that, turning off overdub to audition sounds or to test out a rhythm. Anyway, only after going in and out of overdub many times with the sequencer running did I see the bug, but yep, it's there. Don't know if 1.5 has solved it, since I've been working too many hours and playing too few...
