Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

i've got an mpc2000xl with o/s 1.20

1- when i go to load a folder that's nested within another folder, every once in a while it won't go back if i hit the left cursor.. i guess it thinks that the root folder is the one i'm currently in. i've been able to remedy this by hitting the load button while i'm on the load screen.

2- every once in a while when i go to copy bars in the edit screen, it won't let me copy the bars over right away. i'll have to leave the screen and then come back and it works fine.

3- sometimes when i'm trimming a sample, the machine will for some reason go past the end and wrap around to the front. this is usually when i'm trimming multiple samples.

4- i had a midi synth hooked up as a slave to the mpc & when i was saving some samples it started sending all this midi data to the synth module and my synth went crazy.

i guess i was just wondering if anyone else has found these bugs as well or if it's specific to my mpc. if so, is there any use in reinstalling the o/s?

thanks

press open window on midi, u can filter out stuff, but im unsure if its both ways (in & out)

a bug i know of, is when the mpc is midi synced pressing the NV after button, stops the mpc. used to shit me to tears.

im wondering why when i save a sample and later change the highlighted area of the sample and save it again, it does not save the change i made to the highlighted area.

i have to delete the first save and resave it with the change. kinda annoying.

^ive had almost the same kind of problems with my 2kxl

i remember i did this one beat, i trimmed the main loop to the exact starting point, saved all the sounds to a zip, came back to that same beat later that day and the sample starting point wasnt in the point i left it... i trimmed the sample again and saved it, came back to that beat again few days later and the samples starting point still wasnt where i left it, annoying just because the loop was very abstract and offbeat in the beginning and i had found the exact looping point...

i also have some kind of lag when i push Shift+Sample, sometimes i ve waited for like few minutes for the sample screen to pop up, after pushing shift+sample ive tried to push other buttons like main screen just to try if the mpc would stop freezing...
