recording volume too low?

hey guys ive been trying to record samples off my microkorg but every time i do the sample is way too quite when i assign it to a pad.

i though the problem was because i was just plugging my korg directly into the mpc. so i went out a bought a basic mixer which i figured would amplify the sound. i plug the korg into the mixer and the outputs go into the mpc imputs and record as a line in. i have the rec gain turned up to maximum but still there has been no improvement in the sound level.

any help you could give would be appreciated. thanks brez.

If its too low after that then you either have the volume too oow on the MK or you have the gain too low on the MPC. Putting a mixer in between wont solve anything.

nah man its not either of those. my full level is on when the screen is in regular sequence view or whatever but when i hit record the red light goes off and if i try to hit to turn it back on it acts as cancel. thanks for the responses by the way i seriously appreciate it.

GOT IT! the autonorm needs to be turned on. it dosent even mention autonorm in the recording section of the manual
