My cf card won't erase!!!

How can I deo this? I've tried everything. Formatting, dragging into trash, re-doing the os...nothing. I have some drum samples that make the 500 crash all together. I'd rather find new drums from scratch (the J-Dill way) then for this to happen at ll. Please help.
