Trade mpc 4000 for 3000

I'll keep the 4k.

Too much stuff I use on it that will be a hassle with the 3k.

BUT, I'll get a 3k as soon as I can to test it.

I'm hungry, what about hum, jello?. WELL, I'll see if the sound of the 3k is that nice then, use it alongside the 4k if it's good.

I want a ms2000 for now. Cool wood sides, reminds me of trees.

Do you own the mackies? The only thing I can say about them is that you can never learn those speakers.

They always sound different. You think you're mix is good, then later on it's not!! You keep mixing and mixing and mixing and most of the time you end up getting things worst.

I did better mixes on ns-10 in the first week I got them.

It's like the mackies never sound the same, everything sounds good on them. Mixes coming out of mackies always sounds too loud, I mean, too much highs and lows. I think you can make better mixes with 6X9 in wood boxes than on them lol.

There is a switch on the back of the Mackies that allows you to compensate for your room's acoustic properties.
Many believe there is a difference between the original U.S. made Mackies and the new Chinese made ones. (Bass response mostly)
Many find the Mackies extremely easy to learn.

3k vs 4k was a silly comparison to begin with in my opinion. The 4k has so many extra features that its like comparing apples to dogs.

MS2k has not so inspirational keys. I use a MS2kB Rack with a controller instead.

Trying gear out before you buy is nice. You couldve gotten to this point by just comparing the feature list though.... Actually you couldve just done a search of the MPC COMPARISON FORUM. Im sure there are 13 threads on this subject.

I think keeping the 4k is your best bet though....

There is a huge difference between old and nu ones.

I had the old ones, they were better.

But still they wouldn't cut it!

I've got all of the MPC's and beleive me, there is a sound difference. Funny topic though, cause the 3000 & 4000 are my favorites. Haven't gotten into any of the newer MPC's.

why dont you just buy an s3000 and sync them up? You can have the 3000 sound and the sequencing power of the 4000. plus the s3000 go for next to nothing compared to the mpc3000.

I got a S3000XL, but it needs repair. I feel you. But, ain't nothing like the real thing. I had to get one. Just got a second one that I will probably have custom painted since I couldn't find an 3000LE.
