I am excited about the BeatKangz Beat Thang.
But more excited that im going to be lucky enough to be a beta tester for the BeatKangz Beat Thang in a few months when its ready.

I will def to keep the videos and reviews of it coming.

looking forward to seeing the finished metal case and design but the features are amazing

The release is supposed to be in May correct? If you're supposed to start beta testing in a few months I'm thinking that we wont see a finished product in May.
I could be wrong though.

still waiting to see something beyond drum machine capabilities. if you're going after akai shouldnt u actually show what the sampler does?

its an XLR/ Stereo 1/4" input with a mic line switch. So that means you will be able to plug in a mic or an electric guitar or a stereo line in from a CD player etc.

2 more products coming out before the Thang drops in the summer. We'll up date you on those soon...... Some more Crazy Thangz from them KANGZ

The problem with all the MPC heads compared to this new machine is that the Beat Kang is more geared towards to garbage that Hip Hop has become into today's culture, the flashy, materialistic, none substance type of quality.


I can see how this machine would draw in the wanna b up and coming producers highly influenced by the South, but to the true heads of Dj Premier, Pete Rock, Rza, Alchemist, Dre, Muggs, Babu, Dj Quick, etc.. this machine is a turn off because it seems to be more talk then action just like today's hip hop. Everything is all talk and bragging and no skill quality to back it up.


From the videos you posted AJ you mos def have a lot of technical info locked down with this machine, and from my perspective the extra flashy things with the machine is just eye candy but there is more then meets the eye with the machine once someone gets to mess around with it.


I'm not gonna knock your machine as I am a hardware/software dude, and see this machine utilizes both worlds in one format and that will make competition look bad in the long run if you gain the success. And another thing you gotta understand is that most these dudes on this forum are sampled based producers like their heros, so hearing synth based beat machines is left field in less proven other wise.


I def like what you have to offer with this machine, and will be watching to see how it follows suit and if it would be a better fix for me then my MPC 2000.

Amen! I would be more interested in this product if they wouldnt talk to me like im some 15 year old punk. FFS im almost 30, im past the Yo G whazz UPPPPP checkzzz my thangzzzzzz stage for a few years. Plus I would think the age group im in is the one you should be aiming for since we have zhe moneyzzz.
