Load each .snd file separately. Once your program is completed the way you want, save the .pgm file (with all the sounds you want) across as many floppys as you need.
The size a of a floppy disk only comes into play if a .snd file is above 1.44 MB. The MP will never be able to save the data. It will just keep trying and telling you "disk is full, insert a new disk"...I know because I saved a .pgm file without purging the unused sounds. I inserted 13 separate floppys before I realized what was happening.
I have a 4 disk set of drums, an 8 disk set of bass sounds, etc. First, Ill load the drum program into the mp. Next, I then sample from wax... Ill use the zone (chop) feature to create a new program. from the sample. Then Ill just take sounds from the previously loaded drum program and add them to the new program....Finally, Ill load individual .snd files out of the bass set to find one sound that fits(you could also have loaded the bass .pgm file in when you loaded the drum .pgm). Once my new program is complete I save it. I have the new program with drum and bass samples from those disk sets and new sample material as well.....
