Zone layering to get more volume

Hi

Sometimes i layer the same sound 2 or 3 times in the zone section to make it louder.

Should i do this or just reduce the volume of all and get a better balance....

Yes it basically doubling up the sounds we all do it for louder drum sounds. There are some fine points though by usiing different drums like low, mid, and high drums and different parts like one drum has a banging attack, the other nice body, and the third a booming tail.

Also you can adjust the levels, panning, filter, tuning and especially the start point of each zones to get the sounds you want.
