Connecting Roland HD-1 Electronic Drum Kit to MPC 1000?

Had one of these for Christmas but the inbuilt sounds on it aren't that great.

Now it has a midi out connection, so would it be possible to connect it up to my MPC 100 in order to trigger the sounds off that in real time?

Any help would be much appreciated.

There is a midi out socket. I am guessing somehow I could have it going into the MPC to trigger the sounds on there, then the audio leads from the MPC to the amp?

Midi out means use it as a controller.
