hey guys i got my mpc 1k about a month ago and yesterday bought a yamaha mo6. the problem that im having is i recording more than one melody into the mpc. i can do my drums and then the initial synth melody but when i try to record another synth pattern the sounds used for the first melody gets changed to the current sounds being used. i hope im being clear. ive been searching in the forums for a couple of days which is how i found out how to record my synth in the first place. i also tried checking my mpc ebook. can somebody please help, i know that this may seem trivial to most of you. thanks in advance. i want to do it like battlecat did in his cali iz active video.

you need to set up multiple voices. then assign a different midi track to each vioce.
check the mo manual.

hopefully it won't be to hard to sort out.

if you're lazy, like me, instead of sorting out different voices and different midi channels, i just sample my first melody, assign it to a pad. then play the next melody, sample it...etc.

Use the MO 6 in Pattern mode then adjust the MIDI channels on the MPC and MO 6 accordingly
