Having a problem saving with new folder

I have a mpc 1000 with jj os 4.99...Everytime I try to save with a new folder. It keep saying file name is already exist...Im trying to save to my hard dr...is there anyway some one can help...thanks..

there must be a file on ur hd that has the same name, either go to mode/save, find the file or folder, hit 'rename' rename it. then u can go back to saving your other file to the new folder name, but this will happen if ever u have a file/folder already named the same as the new one u are trying to save, best bet is to name everything uniquely.

Thanks for replying Arebee....The thing is that I name every project differntly already and when i enter a different name it keeps on saying file exist....I search and double check if I have that name already....so when i change the name to a different one it keeps on giving the same thing...

did you format your hard drive in the mpc with JJ OS?

if not, do it! otherwise you will have problems down the road.

i dont format my drive with the jj, no problems here!

First of all try to save whole memory... if it's not hlpfull then check if the same sample name is not used in two different programs which are saved as a whole into one directory...
U can try to save everything one by one i mean program by program sequence by sequence and then u will know what is causing problems.
Hope u know what i mean coz my english is wayyyyy to baaaad .

it's STRONGLY recommended that you do. otherwise, get ready for some 'defects' down the road.

lots of people have had problems that were traced to that. better safe than sorry.
