It doesn't say that. The *document* is February 2009. But I wouldn't be surprised if it going to be a very early Spring release...

Sounds like the person at Akai UK got the dates wrong hopefully.
As I've been checking their website & its still saying Feb 09 & I received a newsletter from them on the 6th Feb which says Spring 09. I'm going to call Akai Support today to see if I get a different person to double check the dates.
I will update you all later with my findings.

Got news?????

Hi all
Just spoke to Akai UK & they have told me to email Akai USA which I will do, as the person said USA will know before UK offices.
What he did say was the OS was in final stages of testing & he said that when Akai release the MPC5000 with OS 2.00 this is when update will be available, which will be when the machines are released in the USA.
He did say he had heard unofficially that hopefully it would be the beginning of March. So fingers crossed March 09, sorry I can’t get anymore information.
But that’s all the UK know, but they were very helpful.

Well better get back to my MPC

I spoke to akai uk as well and they were absolutely useless, they said thought 0s2 was already out.
