Whats preferred beat making software

Whats preferred beat making software

I just strictly want to make beats no vocals or nothing but im struck between a bunch of software's. Idk if i should us FL, Reason, Protools. Mainly hip hop and im using many samples. Thank You

logic 8. hands down. best sequencer for midi. research it.

i would say run with pro tools if you have time and patience for learning,,if not i would go with probably logic8..i see a lot of good talk about it,,,,,im really not the guy to tell you as i only use my mpc but ive read about software and from what i read,logic8 is looking like top choice to a lot of people!!

Logic 8 (studio). Rather simple and easy to use. If you dont everything that logic encompasses then check out garageband. But you have to have an apple computer if you want to use either.

The only input I have is that I have had ProTools over 6 months now and I still haven't figured it out... Actually I uninstalled the software. I will eventually give it another go. It is way over my head at this point, and I don't have the patience to sit and figure it out.. I have a few books, so I have no reason not to have it figured out yet.

I know Cubase, Reason, FL, and ProTools is windows friendly..... Not sure about the rest.... Logic is an Apple thing I think...

For beat making I'd go with FL and, or Reason...Pro Tools is PC compatible...have you checked out ableton live ?

Nowandays, pretty much all the production software is up to snuff, (logic, Live, FL Studios, Cakewalk Sonar or Prodject 5, Cubase, Adobe Audition, Reaper, Pro Tools, Acid, Reason, Storm, And so many others).

It's all about figuring out which one is best suited to you. DL the demos and try em out. Since your makin hip-hop start with FL, Reason & Live first like konc3pt said.

That's really the only efficient answer, and it's not something someone can tell you on a forum or otherwise. Go get demos and do research.
