Chicken Systems, Inc creates software that supports samplers. They have an MV Kit Creator Pro for the MV-8000 and 8800: http://www.chickensys.com/products/sw_i ... reator+Pro

Would you MPC 5000 users be interested in and support a program such as this for the Akai MPC 5000? Please feel free to vote and leave comments/feedback.

Thanks you in advance.

This is how I feel... I want any and everything that will co-sign in making this machine superior

But This would definitely be something that would be great in assisting us 5000 users in making our life easier in setting up programs inside of our MPC's and other functionalities that it would be able to help in as well.

I fully support software that would assist in the process of building programs for the 5k. Something like blue box, only better, with a wave editor would be very helpful. Personally it's just quiker to manipulate wave files with a mouse. Plus, with both a wave editor and a program editor it would create and intergration that goes beyond either software or hardware, one or the other. Best of both worlds.

+1.. and make sure it can work in a 32 bit as well as 64bit environment!

Being a former MPC 4k owner, one thing I really miss is AkSys. With the new OS coming, a software editor would be MORE than welcome. I have also always wanted an editor for the sequencer too! That would be huge, if possible.... I would be willing to pay for those features

This would sound like something more Askia was talking about in another forum almost

Chicken Systems wrote:We may. MVKC was made to start up production of Constructor, a generic Instrument Builder.

Either we'll do a Constructor spin-off that caters to MPC only, or we'll just suggest Constructor.

You may want to consider some MVKC-like things that already exist, like Blue Box or MPC-Editor.

I have never used Blue Box, and it has been years since I used MPC Editor. Does anyone know if these programs can edit all the program parameters of the newer MPCs?

Nah, they dont do too great i dont think... I had some old MPC 2000XL samples, that didnt crossover too well, most didnt even show up on pads... I might play with them again when i get back in town later this week to see if they would help
