Ok so, i own a MPC 4000 and an Ensoniq EPS16+

but i'm thinking of chaging my machines for other ones.

Which trades should i do. I'm intrigued by the MPC 5000.

Does the 5000 have as much bugs then the 4000 use to have?

Is it a stable machine? Which of the new MPC line (1000, 2500, 4000, 5000) is the

more stable and easier to use?

Does the 5000 still has that unique MPC sound?

I'm starting to feel confuse man....to much machines.

Help me make a choice.

My MPC4000 is full of bugs and the buttons are cheap.
Some buttons will work half of the time unless you push the **** in.
My internal hardrive broke and the LINE IN of the MPC for the turntable doesn't receive signal anymore.
(i use the TTX direct Line Out in the Line In of the MPC 4000).

Anybody has the 4000 slowly falling into pieces ??

I prefer editing samples on the EPS16+ because it's faster. But i find the EPS sounds thin on the kicks.

Does the ASR sounds fatter with drums?

Nobody can help YOU make such a choice, we do not know you.

But you can find all the information on the various MPC's here on this site. Instead of starting a new thread, maybe you should just read the info that has already been supplied by Akai's beta testers (us!)

1. Keep your 4000 and get it fixed. Send it to VST
2. Many pro producers use the so-called buggy MPC 4000 with out any problems. Why can't you?
3. Gearlust only slows you down and resets the learning curve. if you have the time then do what you want.

bugs!!! wtf... on a the 4k ... NAME THEM !!

the 4k is as solid as gold ... and still the heavy-weight king...

btw its got the best core MPC sound at 24bit 96k which is double the resolution of any other mpc on the market .. but the 5k might be more idiot proof if you dont know synthesis ..but I'd wait untill os2.0 as its a plain wreck as is..
