Has anybody ever had this problem before? I have a feeling my MIDI IN ports (1 & 2) on my MPC3000 are not working. But this is weird because I just recently got back my MPC3000 from Bruce Forat. Before I sent my unit to Bruce it was working and now it's not? Hmmmm, all the MIDI OUT ports (A,B,C,D) are working just fine. Basically all I am trying to do here is use Propellerhead Reason as a sound module and sequence it into the MPC3000. The basic setup is Propellerhead Reason, Akai MPC3000, M-Audio Oxygen 61 keyboard controller, M-Audio MIDIsport 4x4 interface and a bunch of MIDI cables. Go ahead, give me your best shot but I've tried EVERYTHING... unless I am missing something here?

Yup, been there done that. I have a feeling it may be my audio interface (MIDIsport 4x4), because none of the red lights (MIDI OUT) blinks when I strike a key (on my Oxygen 61 keyboard controller)

BUT...

the red light blinks when I turn my computer on and when I record in Logic

so hmmmm.... something is up

EDIT: it's not the MPC3000, not even close, it was my Midisport 4x4 MIDI interface, time to move to a MOTU interface now
