Help on final phase

Hey, I'v had my mpc for two months and now I got a bunch of beats that I want to put on my myspace.

I know that there are numerous ways to export my song, I can export every seq individually to a pc software and then arrange it, I can make a song and resample it.

But my question is: if I convert my song to a sequence, what happens to the tracks in it? If I have the different programs in every track (but they remain the same from sequence to sequence), can I play the new song-sequence muting the tracks that I want?


Don't know if I explained myself right, I want export the kicks first, then the snares, then hats, then samples (of the whole song), so I can master them on the pc software...is this possible?

I've never done it this way so I can't go into to much detail, but:

get a DAW, make the tempo the same as your sequence on your MPC. Mute everything except one track (kicks, snare, etc...) and have your MPC MIDI'd and lined in to your computer. Record track by track and they should all be lined up to the MIDI clock.




I usually have one sequence with a bunch of different tracks. Line my MPC into my soundcard and when I record I mute and unmute tracks while I'm tracking to create my change-ups

I thought the 500 had the recordable track mute option by now.

I see...but when you say that I have to do this track by track, I also have to do this for every sequence? Or can I do it for the whole song?

However you want, man.

Whatever way is easiest for you to get the individual tracks by themselves. If you have a 'song mode' that changes patterns and ish, then maybe you can recreate the changes on your DAW with the tracks you have, I couldn't tell you.
