Yep... yall should check out SCD's post about MIDI viewtopic.php?f=29&t=109482
Works like a charm... trying to get it all straight with my soft synths now, but i learned how to do it with my MicroKorg, and my boys Fantom Rack at his studio with his 5000. Its working pretty good with Kore 2. If I can get it to work with stuff like Reason, Xpand, and the rest of Komplete 5, ill be good to go

You should never have to select a program ON the M3. The 5000 will select it by sending a program change #.

If the M3 is in multimode, you should set the right MIDI channel and the right sound on the track you are working on on the MPC. It should be that simple. Many synthesizers though have a receive/ignore PC setting! You should check that on your M3.

About the MIDI channel: on most synths the preset multimode will have MIDI channel 1 for part 1, MIDI channel 2 for part 3, etc.

I think so. I haven't really sat down with both again these past two days, but I'll let you know! Been reading more to try to better understand things.
