Producer Stage-Names

What do you guys feel about stage names for producers. I am wanting to post my music online now but I don't want to have it by my name, but at the same time I don't want to come up with some little nickname for myself that no one really calls me by, and even if I did, I don't know what it would be. I am mostly just struggling with ideas. How did you come up with yours, if you have one? And also, should "DJ _____" only refer to someone who works with turntables?

i have a production tag. wouldnt call it a stage name.

well I suggest getting out a big old dictionary.. the older the better. Look for a word you like the sound of and check to see if it has a dope definition or one that suits you or your work.

Then go on google and other places to find out if someone has taken the word already.

i guess its a personal choice, but its just hard to find one word that encapsulates my whole existence, you know?

you will never find a single word that does.... that is why you should look for a word you simply like.

idk, ill take all that into consideration and hopefully ill have one eventually. no rush, though

for me its something that just hits me. xibalba isnt something that i searched and found, i feel like it came to me. i was watching the fountain and that movie just made an impact on me especially the word xibalba. so i did research it and completely encompassed the meaning. it will find you, is what i believe. the 1875 is pretty much a number ive had with me for a long long time, it really has no meaning and its only on my username because someone had already registered xibalba when i first joined up.

well Plasma is an awesome word IMO but I would not like those letters P and then L plus there are 2 A's .... but that shit doesn't matter when it comes to "stage names" Anyways you could design your own album covers by scanning pages out of your black book.

Shwell came from a homie when I was in High School..... My First name is Ancel, and I stressed over nothing (Prob because I was Micheal Phlpsin it alot back then), so he tool the sound of my name and flipped it to Shwell....



But my Prduction Tag is Muad'Dib from the Movie Dune...... Dude would Kill People with Sound....... I was hooked on that name since I was a child..... I was able to chop some nice soundbites from the Movie for all my Music...
