aksys crashing my computer?

anyone else having this problem?ill be working on music and my computer will re-start itself.i think get a "system has recovered from a serious error" message.here are the errors it gives me.

it seems like it only happens if i have aksys open for a while.so far to fix the problem i have:
reformatted
changed out my ram
reinstalled aksys
changed the usb port its in
and every other damn thing i can think of.....

help?

na funny enough im not doing anything.just sitting in the studio and the computer will shut off.whats wired is all of a sudden,it started happening one day.

are you sure you have the Latest usb drivers off of the akai site?

yeah i do.i even stuck the mpc on its own usb hub.what im starting to notice is the computer crashes when i have aksys and adobe audition open at the same time.now why this is,i have no idea.

Part of the answer is right there then isn't it? Use Aksys in isolation if you have to...

ok so i turned on aksys by itself and let it sit for about 10 minutes.computer restarted itself again.so its not just the adobe/aksys combination.(which i have ran for years on this computer with no problems,until now)
the computer restarts with just aksys open.

p.s.
i have tried the back usb's,the back usb's.with the same result.

well im almost certain now its the akai.i talked to microsoft on the phone and they directly connected to my computer.it rebooted itself while he was connected so when the blue screen came up it gave the exact problem.

basically saying the drivers are corrupt.so we uninstalled them (again),cleaned out the registry of any akai things,and he told me to reinstall in a few hours.(after playing around on the computer without the aksys on it.)

so ill re-install in a few hours and see what happens.although i have done that several times already.anyone else ever have this problem?

running a gateway gm5420 with xp.

now when i reinstall aksys what exactly do i need?all i use it for is transferring files.

Isn't there another piece of software out there that the 4k can use for this?

Not that I know of. If you find something report back on what it is.

Dumb question, but I have to ask... Did you try it without the hub? It is highly recommended not to use a hub (you can find other posts on this). I know it caused me problems, so now I use a cable extender when needed.

Different cable?
Different computer?
Did it used to work?

i alway had the problem of aksys crashing and saying that my usb was unplugged..
i found thru trial and error that it crashes alot less when i
1) save the samples to the mpc usabale memory before sending to my computer
2)smaller files

still crashes sometimes but alot less.
