MIDI file problems

Hi - hoping somebody knows how to do what I'm trying to do 'cos I'm driving myself mad... or at least if you could tell me that it's not possible!

I have loaded a Midi file I created in Reason onto the MPC500 as a sequence file, alongside the relevant samples mapped to the Midi notes within the files - but nothing plays. The sequence seems to run (with no sound) and the tempo is correct. I have been through all the Midi settings, and assigned the track to the program.

Any thoughts?

Sorted. Friend of mine was over who knows a few things about this, and we tried creating / editing the MIDI sequences in a different piece of software - and it now works fine. Turns out Reason was messing the file up (for the MPC anyway) by adding in extra tracks and data which was no needed.
