Can you make automatic bpm matching samples in The MPC5k?

I saw the preloaded loopmaster wav files and noticed that if I changed the tempo they would automatically match that bpm without me doing anything. I thought this was a really dope feature and I started reading the manual to see if I could make my own patches. The manual is a little vague probably since I dont sample that much. How would I go about making this happen if its even possible. I want to record live guitar in and be able to match it to different bpms. I read in the manual you have to go to loop in trim mode and then press auto(f2), but I accomplished only hearing the same thing I recorded. Whats going on?
