MPC500 beginner questions?

Wat up im new to this forum and iv been thinkin about gettin a mpc500. Im currently using an akai mpk49 and logic studio but sampeling in logic is really frusturating me (among other things). I have a few questions regarding the MPC500 before i purchase it, first of all im wondering if the mpc500 comes with any drum samples to begin with? Im also wondering if its easier to make beats on then software such as logic? Lastly i know these mpcs can be standalone but will it work well in a program such as logic also? Id really appreciate some feedback..thanks

It depends. Some peepz like to work with software, others with the mpc. I even get lost in fruityloops, while a friend of mine can't even figure out how to load up and assign a drum sample.

Depends on how u want to use them together.

I know how you feel and i say dont BUY the mpc 500

1. the drum samples you get are crap. you can find better drum samples downloading drum sounds of the internet

2. the mpk49 is just as good as the 500 if not better.

3. It is alot more frustrating to chop samples on a mpc compared to softwear especially if you dont have the JJOS zoom in function

4.i dont know about logic but with abelton i use software to add in a bass and also to master then render.

You started with a good setup if your looking to improve your sounds geting a mpc is not going to get there .. I suggest you try another software.. DR.DRE and Alchemist and alot of people consider REASON to be one of the sickest

It is a fukin sampler! Put some good samples in it lol.

I do not see how, its a keyboard with pads, ull need all kinds of shit around it for it to work

Learn to chop so you wont need a fukin waveform.

and i wasnt really specifying in a mpc in general,
sorry im not a mpc hater just realy tryin to help out..

whatever is hard with 1000 cant be easier with the 500 right?

i dunno maan, i beg to differ. i HAVE an mpc AND reason. i prefer the MPC500. heres the major difference between the 2. some cats are more visual people and others are more hands on. if your the visual cat, then REASON is perfect for you, because you can see everything as you lay it out. its advanced enough to do pro quality music but simple enough to give you an overview of everythingt hats going on. an MPC, i dont care WHICH ONE you have can do very simmilar things as reason with a little bit of creativity. only drawback i can see with an mpc500 vs reason would be the effects. i havent looked into it much ( at all, to be honest) but, i would assume you could run the mpc through an outboard effects processor, OR using a prog like soundforge and add the effects then load it into the mpc.
