i did the same thing with the above post except it was from my old sampler that uses compct flash.

i imagine that u have some type of interface to use when u wanna record your tracks to disk. a quick way to sample is to open your recording software and, depending on # of sounds, load em 16 @ a time on one track or 16. when u have that done jus do some like take your monitor cables to your mpc outs and run the actual outputs of your interface to your stereo ins. increase your sample time and let it rip.

doing it this way allow you to sample your sounds in one shot and go back and edit along the way without having to do rec/stop/play x amount of times.

i know its kinda confusing but the editing on the 2kxl is pretty slick and if u get distracted by your cpu like i do, then this would be ez. hope it helps...peace

Get a usb zip drive for your computer, then that way you can transfer files from your cd's or computer directly to the zip disk the n u can load it into your zip disk on the mpc, that way you dont lose any sound quality just make sure the disk is formatted correctly. Thats what I do, i have the usb zip for the computer and another one for the mpc, saves a lot of headache when transferring sounds back and forth.
