Drum Grid Edit. If I create a drum pattern and save this as a pattern (using the VIEW option to import it) then it saves any tune data that I have also applied in grid, even though the 'Pattern Line Edit' screen only displays 'V.', 'S.' and 'D%'

So it seems that even though the 'Tune' option for 'Pattern Line Edit' has now gone, the values are still being reatined, just not visible. Kinda makes me wonder why it was ever removed in the first place.

I hear you on this one. Why take it out? In one version, you could change one of the options that were shown... It may have been that you could change tune or duration. Whatever it was, why not still have the option in there. Also, JJ needs to change the end point adjustment so that when your editing the end point, you hear the end point instead of the start point. I typed this really fast, as I'm about to go to work... Hope it makes sence.

I don't know the format for how we do this... but I think I found an obvious BUG in 2XL 1.10 for the 1000. Can someone confirm:

1. Run MIDI out from MPC into MIDI in of a MIDI sound module.
2. Enter data into MPC sequencer which triggers the sound module.
3. In Track Mute screen, set Mute Type to "Level."
4. Press play on the MPC sequencer.
5. MUTE the sequencer track which is triggering the MIDI sound module.

BUG: The sound module is still triggered by the MPC sequencer, although the Track is MUTE.

I got those bugs in JJ-OS Xl v1.09 on MPC 2500:

When i'm in the main mode, pressing the "main" button opens the "Global" page instead of the "Grid Edit"page.

In program mode, Filter 2 doesn't show up. I've got to press F4(to go to the pitch page) then F3 again to get the Filter 2 parameters to appear.

Main can be assigned to any window, not only grid.

Press filter tab twice.

What about what I wrote... Nobody noticed that you can't mute a track sending MIDI data to an external module?

BUG in 2XL 1.10 for the MPC1000:

- Set the Numeric button to perform change of Mode.
- In Main screen, move the cursor to the sequence bar length parameter.
- Press play in the sequencer.
- Press the Numerec button.

BUG: The Numeric Button Mode shortcut does not work.

UPDATE: Will be corrected in XL 1.12.

BUG in 2XL 1.10 for the MPC1000 (Simult BUG):

- Create a program where pad A1 is set to Simult and target is B1. Set pad B1 to Simult and target is A1.
- Assign a sample to pad A1, and assign a different sample to pad B1.
- Pressing pad A1 or B1 will pronounce both samples.
- Record pad A1 or B1 into sequencer. Press play on sequencer.

BUG: Simult pad samples will not pronounce when sequencer is playing. However, the Simult pad samples will pronounce correctly when the sequence is viewed in Line Pattern edit screen.

Please load the "Main Drums" program and samples from the following folder:

EDIT: JJ is a beast! They released 2XL 1.11 about 10 hours after I wrote them, which fixes the above issue.

elevated> What are your settings in the track mute mode? I've just noticed if it's not set to note on and immediate the midi device won't mute.I guess it's not really a bug then but new JJ specifications.

Le rat-- You know what, I think my Track mute option is set to volume. I'll try playing around with the settings tonight.

Wouldn't you say that this is a Bug? I prefer to leave the mute mode to the volume setting, which obviously won't mute the external sound module if the MPC is still sending note-on data. It makes sense to mute all MIDI data sent on any tracks that are muted.

I haven't sent in a report for this yet, btw.

EDIT: I sent this in to JJ. It's something that occurs only when Mute Type is set to Level, and is pretty annoying. Hopefully they will make both mute types affect the Note-on for MIDI sent.

UPDATE: Well, it sounds like they won't be changing this behavior. Whatever, no biggy... I can stick to using the regular Mute Type.
