I must've been high when I first sat that.. The jogwheel IS black! Is that a feature of the LE? If so, Is it a complete pain in the @$$ to replace one?

peace

Man, I've got a case of MPC envy. I know its a sin but I covet!

It's strange but to me, Once you remove the DATA WHEEL you will see that it does'nt look like it fits perfectly on the plastic piece e.g. groove for groove. So I guess you just have to experiment with it at different positions. but also, I do remember pushing down on it kinda of hard when putting it back on, That may have had something to do with it. Just make sure you do not apply too much pressure. PEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!

The Data Wheel is coded to sit in a certain position on the pot. If it doesn't, it will sit too high and be crammed by the cover to a point where you cannot move it anymore. So if you take it apart, make sure you reassemble it properly again.

i just back from installing my blue lcd screen i copped from needlewerk, and it is a beautiful thing!!!
i wished akai would've made the 2500 standard with the blue screen like they did with the 5k.
i mean who actually approves all these funky a** colors ( i.e the 1000's original blue and red side panels) and ugly green screen lcd's at akai???

anyway, i really recommend 2500 owners to invest in the blue lcd screen. you won't be dissapointed!!!
