Personally I cant stand the 2kxl. Its too commmercial. Also I cant stand the hinged LCD. Its just prone to snap off...

out of all mpcs on the market, I'd have to stay with my 2000.

Huh?
How is it commercial? Just because the release price was cheaper than the 2000's? Or because they made improvements based on people's feedback?

Man that's some really ignorant sh*t to say... Sounds like you're bitter because you bought the 2000 when it came out and then Akai came back with all these improvements and you couldn't afford to get the new model.. So you have to badmouth it to make yourself feel better about your purchase! That's what this looks like..

Besides you'd have to treat her reallyy bad if you were to snap the screen off..

Can't say much about it since I only own the 2000xl and never tried any other mpc; but for me the 60 and 1000 got too less features and the 3000 and 4000 are too expensive........nuff said
Peace

btw: "Personally I cant stand the 2kxl. Its too commmercial. Also I cant stand the hinged LCD. Its just prone to snap off... "
HAHAHAHA...you must be playing rugby with your mpc to snap the screen off....

my defination of commercial from reading tht thread is that he does not like when, a lot of big acts use the mpc 2000xl, and they make it commercial , famous open, have repetois. it is the machine that everyone uses. unlike the 2000. it is much more common. like pro tools, and the brand akai, and sony, and nike, dell, yamaha, suzuki, boeing 747, seagate, ford, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches hmmmm, ganja.
apple juice. midi. rizzla.
and from saying tht it ooks like he has an inferor complexity, tht his 2000 non xl is not within the commercial domain.

yeah but how can a tool be commercial?.....so if i did a tune on my 2kxl but put it into an mpc2000 it would cease to be commercial? what about the other way round? :D

oh come on greg tht is being twisted, so if i say i did a beat in cubase and saved it as midid then what. in other words, what seems to be happening is that some ppl got to justify, thier actions or why they have something. one way or the other. so when probaly his mates come to the studio, and see the non xl, they go, "whats tht, ?" is tht the same as the xl it looks odd, compare to my mate who has the 2000xl., so since tht happen a few times, he then realised tht so many ppl are actually rocking the xl. making it comme...

comprehende?
