Swapping Cards: DPS 16 and 2000XL

Here's my question? The DPS 16 has a Reverb card in it. I'm assuming it's the same EB16 that's availble for the MPC. It never seemed to work right in the DPS so I'm thinking of opening it and transfering it to my MPC. Hopefully for better results.

I'm pretty good at electronics and have all the proper tools. Are there any things I should be cautious of? I.E> seating the card properly in the mpc's slot, reload the OS, do a factory reset after the install,ect. that kind of thing. Thank you to all you gurus in advance.

According to the manual that's another effects board in the DPS.

Dammit! I was hoping they were one and the same. Now I'm gonna go drink some Cocoa sic!
