Needlz on the MPC 4000

A dude joined the Roland Clan back in December using the name of Needlz and later post this picture of his setup.
Wonder if the person over at the Clan is really Needlz?
If so he has changed up yet again.

I have always felt the best thing about the MPC is its sequencer. Sampling is as great as it has always been but I would like to see it updated. Similar to the 4Ks Quick FXs.....I would really like to see more of this done in the current and future MPCs. There really needs to be insert effects and dynamics in the Recording/Sampling Mode. I would love to be able to insert 8 different effects in the audio path of an incoming audio signal.

Aren't you doing the majority of your sampling on the Fantom?

Does the MOTU BPM work like a Software version of an MPC?

Yes akai is moving into control surfaces like I mentioned before. Akai is primarily a hardware maker so I don't see them developing software on Macs or Windows platforms. Even back in 2000 they tried to make a software z8 but it was never released. Could akai program soft like ableton most likely no. Can they continue with controllers I mentioned yes. But their linchpin has always been roger linn's sequencer hands down.

Have you forgotten the line of VST plug ins Akai created that didn't do so well?
I think they are more thoughtful of where they endeavor now.

TVs and automobiles were US inventions. But the Japanese took them to another level. The same is true for MPC sequencers. Roger Linns original design has been improved dramatically.

We are saying the same thing wow nitpicking! However a mpc without it's sequencer is just that a hardware sampler <software sampler.

Sup guys! It's me Needlz...So yeah I'm actually going to do another video for my site www.needlz.net today. That pic with that vintage banana is my new room. I went from using a TON of hardware to only using Logic and now back to my roots with a MPC 4000. I'm going to explain exactly how I use my MPC in my current setup and go over some of my other gear.

I just got my 8 outs and black pads so I'm gunna be putting those in today. I'm still looking for black play/tap tempo/bank/nextseq/etc buttons so if anybody out there knows where I can get em(or trade) lemme know...MPCSTUFF and VST don't have them...

Anyway, I'm gunna start the video today and when I get my new baby(Prophet 08' Rack) on Tues I'll finish it and post like Wednesday...see you guys then!
