always prime,it will make your colors pop..
without priming u might end up with a color less desirable than what u thought was gonna be..
with the gold i would use a light backer
and the black is fine alone...
spray from a greater distance than mentioned on the can and use a constant swipe motion to avoid runs
make sure to check ur parts in good light before you clearcoat them to see if there is any missed spots..
do in a ventilated area
and dont do it next to anything you dont want overspray on
one last thing
if you want ur gold to really look nice back it with a silver..
