Samples trimming themselves? WTF?! jesus christ

Mysteriously every other time or so I import a sample it trims its ending to like fit within a bar or something automatically, and i gotta go into trim mode and fix it. This is annoying as ****. I dont want the mpc doing what it "thinks" I want. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Sometimes it will also trim samples without even showing them trimmed in trim mode, so theres no way to fix it. They just stop after one bar, and im like "why would it be doing that? why is it doing this to me? why is it making things difficult? wtf??".

Is this a problem with the o.s or the mpc or did i not read the manual enough? Ive gone through everything. Checked all the programs, reloaded the sample, etc. Still happens

PS: another problem: Autoload sporadically turns back on and loads up that crappy demo track when ive turned autoload off repeatedly.

Are you perhaps loadin samples that have lops enabled? Otherwise, sounds like your joint is fuked!

Sigh. Thanks for the reply. No, im not using any samples that have loops enabled. This is shitty. Do you think installing jj os would fix this or should I just try to get it returned? I cant imagine this being a hardware issue.

This is incredibly frustrating, I just intalled 128 mb in this thing too (it was doing it before btw), I Was looking forward to using the mpc as an all in one type box. 2 thousand bucks and it cant even play a **** sample without hassle. pathetic.

It's worth a try. Even try reinstalling the Akai OS. Or return and exchange it!

im confused as to whether reinstallation is through the mpc or if i have to put a card in with an os on it? I already did the press erase while turning it on and it didnt do anything to fix the problem.

You have to put the OS file onto your card right in the root folder, then just load the file the same way you would a sample. Both JJ and Akai have specific instructions on how to install and which buttons to hold during reboot!
