I bought my mpc 2500 on ebay and it came with a broken slider (the metal piece was loose and broke off after hardly any use). So I had the replacement slider sent to me from MPC-stuff and I opened the MPC up and saw the slider I need to replace. So I have to replace the component in the circuit board, I guess by desoldering? I've tried to do this with wick but I can't seem to get it working (I can't get enough of the old solder to liquid).
I'm really stuck and I'm going to try to contact MPC-Stuff and Akai but I have my doubts about getting help from them, so please, anyone, I would love any help. My worst case scenario was taking my MPC on a 30 minute drive with me to someone who will solder and desolder on a circuit board. I'm looking at that situation right now though, so any help would be HUGE, thanks.
Edit - I've searched on google and on this site, sorry if I missed anything
