recorded audio in audio track has latency (1k jjxl)

not sure if that was mentioned before... if so i am thankful for the advice...

propably everyone noticed that recorded audio is not tight in the track.... there is free space before the sample starts to play.... just a little bit...
i dont know if direct recording on 2500 does it right..
anyone knows a way i can deal with that...
its pretty anoying to cut always some space of, when you are trieng to be creative and record some... lets say .. lead synths...?

also its not exactly the way i played it.... the reason why i use the mpc is the accurate timing of the sequencer... i guess not for this part...

Use it on the 1k all the time and never have to trim anything?
Currently using xl 1.10.

Could it be that the MPC is correcting your timing when you sequence but the Audio track shows your bad timing since it doesn't correct anything it just records it as played?

what happens if you sequence a MIDI track to an external device then record the output from that to an audio track on the 1k?
Does it play the same as it did from the external device?

i know everybody is gonna say that its me beeing delayed while recording, but thats not the fact... for some strange reason it works for me like this:

1. sequenze the external devise in the mpc (tc is off!!!!!!!!!)

2. record it back via audio track

BUT

just recording without doing this complicated procedure always records some fre space in front of my recording... lets say about half a secound....

mpc has a setting to offset the incoming clock time code, could that be set to make the mpc come in late when recording?

its in the window function when u put the cursor on the timecode area in main screen, above right hand side - above the 'loop:on' area. (jjos2)

Is that space in the beginning zero level or can you see something when you zoom closest? Is that external gear synth or computer?

Evol what OS version are you using? I've never had this problem and I record live into Audio tracks almost daily.

arabee: not sure if i got u right ( i am native german), i dont send any time code information to the mpc.
elevated: the problem occures in all os versions. last testet xl 1.1, now xl1.11. (1k)
tosh79: zero level its computer.... vst or au software-signal sent via usb audio-card-chinch-cable (plays without latency)
