Hey guys, I got a 5000 recently. Made the switch from the 2500. Anyway, I notice when I save my beats (save entire memory), when I go back to load them up, the sample start and end points have moved. It **** everything up and requires me to reset the samples start points.

Has anyone had this problem and if so, how do you fix it?

Thanks in adavance,
Iggy

I am having the same problem. Not sure if I'm missing something. Save all memory doesn't seem to be saving everything. My sample start points are at the end of the sample when I load a song. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :|

I'm sorry to hear about your guys' problem. Ihope to own the 5k in the near future, but news like this makes me rethink the purchase. According to the akaipro website, the OS2.0 should be released this month.

I've found that 3rd party sample can cause issues. Sometimes folks don't tell you they are Reason or FL samples. Where did these samples originate? Is it that that are not loading or they weren't initially saved? i.e. Are they in the saved folder but just not loading? Are these projects from another mpc? Not much info to go on here. Anyway, I've never experienced your problem as I sample my own stuff.

But even if they were from another MPC or Reason, Why doesnt it save like the older MPC's use to when you trim em down? Just wondering, cause I too have experienced the problem, and didnt realize it was still there until we tried again last night with 3 different MPC 5000's in the same studio.(i know the next question, why do we have 3 different mpc 5000's? Answer: 3 different producers, 3 different MPC's, is like everyones own toolbox of samples)

How I sample is:

Record straight to MPC input from my computer audio out playing soft synths and what not. Everything is fine while editing in trim mode. I construct the song. Save entire memory and save the programs with samples. All of the sequences are still playing fine at this point.

Turn off MPC
Turn on MPC
Load folder

Enter trim mode: All of the samples start points are at the end of the sample. Turn the dial once and they revert to the beginning of the sample. ???
