OS 1.2

I also have a question, I recently upgraded to a new mpc 2000xl a CF reader. I'v had problems with chopping my samples, because i use to hold down shift and the assign fader to cut samples up. But since I got the new mpc, with 1.2 i havent been able to hold down shift and the assign fader to cut up samples and instead i have to use the jog whell which isnt that cool all the time. And also my scsi port doesn't seem to work. If any1 can give me some info about this that'd be awesome cool thanks a bunch.

? I use the shift+note variation slider all the time, I'm also on 1.20.

Maybe the person installing the card reader used the internal SCSI port, like people do on the 3000.

Anyways, sounds like some fishy biz. What card reader is it?

I want to thank you all for your responses. In the end, I ordered a cheap usb zip drive and will load 1.2 onto a zip (at least i know it will be recognized, and hopefully work ) Peace.

I'm not sure what reader it is exactly, it has a black face plate on it. I believe it's the one' akai was using when they started making the 2000xl's with cf/ ms/ sd / sm readers. thanks for replying. Ya i dunno about my slider, im going to reinstall the os. Thanks again.

tryed the reinstalling the os even tryed 1.14 still the same problem. no scsi still don't work and still can't use shift and note variation.

Quick update.... Finally got 1.2 and my CF reader to work!! Just for info... DANE-ELEC compact flash 1gb do NOT work!! Fortunately for me, I had a SanDisk Ultra II 1 gb which works perfectly fine!
