Anyone know why it takes 3 to 5 mins after pressing 'do it' to chop up samples in chopshop. Using the 1000 with 128Mb installed on OS2.12. Really frustrating when the creative juices are flowing and having to wait so long during a project.

same problem here! auto-chop doesnt work for me.... the mpc freeze when i want to auto chop.... i'm now goin to JJOS!

I never used the Akai OS, i jump right to the free JJOS, so all i can offer is get the free OS first and the latest one later if you want, it has been good enough for me.

Thx Guys....as I've only had the 1000 a short time I figured I'd get to learn one OS first before moving to the other but as I have seen, JJOS seems to be the way to go....Any pointers as to the best sites for the free OS download.....
