I REALLY WANT TO USE THE 2500 LIVE,WITH SOME RACK SYNTHS...

...controlled via midi,but i've noticed the lack of a piano roll,am i right?
can you tell me how can i program the synth notation straight from the mpc?

i really want to do everything with the akai,no more computers involved!!!

Do you mean how to assign what notes you want on what pads?

...in my dreams it would be great to have a piano roll to "write"the midi parts,just like i use to do in cubase.
maybe the jj os has it? dunno,just wondering.

JJ has something that resembles the piano roll view.

If I were you, I would compose my tracks in the computer and import the MIDI tracks into the MPC.

Or just connect some MIDI keyboard with a physical "piano roll" to the MPC and record that...
