I noticed in your video you didn't have the box for "Enable MIDI Beat Clock" checked. You only had your output box checked. You need BOTH boxes checked.

I'm having the same problem as you, however, I have all the correct options enabled as directed by instructions I've found on this site and others.

if you would've hit play on the mpc while it was record into pro tools, would it have recorded.

It looked like it was recognizing the audio signal coming in.

try it that way.

No prob! The ironic and very funny part is, I'm still completely baffled with my similar problem but somehow managed to help you fix yours haha

Definitely glad I could help though. I know how frustrating this can be.

Lord, if you can, list all the things you have set in your Pro Tools and MPC in regards to syncing MIDI. I noticed the one thing you weren't doing ... but maybe the one thing I'm not doing is something you're doing ... which would then solve my problem as well!

Well......... the way my midi is setup is like this:

Mbox out to Mpc In 2 and on my my midi/sync screen my midi in is 2 and my midi out is A

I have a midi handshake from my mpc and microkorg I don't think this makes a difference though

In my pro tools when I go to the midi settings I have the mbox2 selected as the interface (Obviously haha)

I make sure my tempo is the same on both units (If your BPM on mpc is 90 change it to 90 on pro tools)

and I use the JJOS 3.08 as well so that has no effect on this problem

I cant really think of anything else really, if you can I would try and post a video or some pictures just so people can see the problem hands on,trust me on that because whenever I have a problem I just post a vid up to help and that way I'm not talking in circles and making people confused.Let me know if you fix it but if you cant I'll still try and help you as best I can.PEACE

That's the same way I have everything setup. I can't understand what the problem can be. I'm going to take your advice though and make a quick video. Hopefully someone will be able to spot what's wrong. Thanks man.
