Going through My Workflow on the 4k and My Mpc (Crashed)!!!!

What the heck is this well i don't expect anyone to actually know what this error is but the only thing I could think of is that my 512 mg memory was was up 400 mg full sluggin down the big dude other than that the sequencer was playing and playing looping for a while, man and i was in the groove with the workflow, something going on my first crash hopefully this doesn't become the norm the lat one i had no ploblems what so ever.

O.K. I'm seriously looking for help here Second Day of working with my 4k and it crashes again this time while I'm editing the Q link sliders and yes again the ram was full it was the same c.d. rom full of files I loaded yesterday, thinking of reinstalling O.S. 1.7.1 and maybe resetting the ram, and if must buying the proper ram to run it I love the 4k second time around just want to get to the bottom of this any suggestions would be helpful thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you know what Kind of ram you have in it now? Brand name?

Don't know what brand but I'll crack it open on Monday to look and reseat what's the going (preferred) brand for the 4k

any suggestions started working again and the same thing (This time i left the room and the sequencer was just playing) happen i mean any answers would be appreciated, if anyone has heard of this type of thing happening, I still haven't cracked it open yet due to illness in the family but plan on it tomm. and would like to maybe get a heads up on what it is i'm looking for, most time when things like this happens it's badly seated ram so i'm considering just ordering new ram my self and installing them and adat IBAKAI IB-4ADT together I'm one of those do it all at once kinda people.

probably a bad ram chip.

step one/ remove both ram chips and operate the machine with just the factory ram, that is on the mother board

step two/ if the first step yields workable results, then install one ram chip and see what happens.

next try the last chip.


do not try both chips at the same time, test them individually

O.k. though I haven't had the time to swap the ram out and test it but what I have done is loaded low amounts of samples maybe like 60mgz and I end up with no problems even though I get this issue pretty randomly this time around it reared it's ugly head while I was saving (Maximum amount of ram) you know we need to start a database of Mpc Serials of something or other that list 4k's with operational bugs though i'm sure its the ram i'm going to have to put it off for a few weeks i'm sure it's pretty cheap just haven't had the time to get around to it I'm mainly just logging my crashes to see if anyone had some similar problems and and how they remedied it
