i don't really care about the older or newer pads but the f..ckin' jogdial is gettin' on my nerve..first of all it doesn't feel solid,secondly it skips digits,it doesn't oprerate like the trustfully mpc2000xl dial..

anyone with the same problems and how easy is it to replace it

True, it definitely feels flimsy! But mine never skips digits. You may need to repair that.

I actually like the data wheel compared to the MP2500 and 2000. I find the 1000 more responsive and faster although it does feel flimsy and "made- in-china-like.". Looks like you may need to change it.

The XR20 drum machine jog wheel has a much better feel and sturdier than the 1K even though its the same design.. Akai should sell these spare part to replace the 1k jog wheel.

my jog wheel also seems really flimsy, it looks like it doesnt even fit the opening for it either. still love the clicking feeling though :)
