Can someone please explain how to save effect sets on the 5k

Hi everyone, I'm having trouble saving my effect sets. I program the beats, adjust the effects, save the program and the sequence, but when I open the sequence again with the corresponding program the effects just reset!
anyone know how to save them?

You will have to use Save Entire Memory to a folder.

thanx! but I think that the posibility to save effect sets presets and be able to call them up on the fly just like a sequence could be interesting.

^^^ That is actually a good idea... To have "Effect Presets"

this is really something I don't understand at all on MPC...in my RS7000 all FX settings are per style, in 'MPC words' that would be 'per sequence'. When you change to another style, the new FX settings (and I mean with that different FX with different parameters) are automatically loaded.
The MPC should just recall all FX settings that you made for a specific Sequence.

Now you have to make different FX setups and 'recall' them with a special control message and indeed they can only be saved when doing a 'save entire memory'.

Sorry, I still don't get how the FX are organised next to sequences or songs (where are they included?). Are different settings next to each other in RAM possible, depending on which sequence is playing, or does only work a single set of 4 multi fx for everything in RAM?

This would be great. I've asked here about the FX organisation in the 5000 several times.

what is so hard to understand about these FX ?

1) you can create different EFFECT SET's (= FX + Routing + Parameter Settings)
2) you can recall these different EFFECT SET's by the EFFECT SELECT instruction (p45 in Manual)
3) FX Sets are only saved when doing a Save All (but : seperate FX Sets can be retrieved from it (p 157))
4) these FX Sets can be used on the Program's in your Sequence.

Implementation is pretty awkward but all info is in the manual.
Or do you have other problems/questions about the FX ?

Thanks for the hint. There is really missing an explanation about the fx in "basic concepts and terminology", p13.

So I see now, the only way whole fx sets can be changed is under events in step edit mode... that's really awkward, because I only used seq edit and never did the filigree step edit (if something did not sound right, I just rerecorded it).

The effects set from the .all file works well when importing from another folder... I did it yesterday
