Pro Tools is Bull shyt. There are some products that are popular on their merits, and their are others that are popular because of cornering a market and hype. They do some really shady things like disable certain features and compatibilities if you want to incorporate other Harware or software within Protools. They want you to stay in protools and spend all your money on getting pro-tools (TM) products.

I know many engineers that hate protools even though they got HD systems in their studios. It is dumb easy to use, that's it, plus the hype.

People come on here and start talking all big cuz they got ProTools and believe the hype, but ask these same people what headroom is and how much you have in a digital recorder or what Bit and Hz mean to a recording and they give you blank stares and excuses.

regurgitate that propaganda somewhere else. You can deny industry standard when the two main arguments for using ProTools on Digi's own forum are:

Because it is so expensive (HD system, not your Bullshyt Digi001/2 or Mierda box) it narrows the competition as long as paying customers believe it is necessary for a hit record.

And the fact that someone mentioned here that MC's and other Artists know the name (so big is the propaganda machine) and so will pay big bucks because they think they know something about the quality of your equipment or work.

I'd rather rock a MOTU 828 and Logic if I were Mac based.

The only real good thing about digi design products is that it comes with software(pro tools). The one thing i hate about digidesign products is you cant use the software with out the hardware. I have a lapt top computer and i can open up my nuendo projects and cut and edit things that dont really need a great speaker system around. You must have a digidesign hardware hook up to open the program up. i just cant live like a slave.

i dont dis like th pro tools i just dislike the mbox. Im not talking as a anti pro tools person but once mbox owner so i know. Digi 002 rack is hot, 001 is hot 002 is hot, but the mbox is weak to me. Digi neve work out that usb problem also so i had to get rid of it.

This is a great topic my man Young Keys and El macaco is correct

Digidesign makes you pay for every little thing so when you purchase one of their products and start getting to work on your beats and find that you need a certain plug in that would just make your track platinum if not
Gold then you will understand.

I Love Steinberg Nuendo the mastering suite is crazy and it looks a
hell of alot better than Pro-tools and I like the sound I get from it
once I load an audio trk the mix gets clearer then when I start to mix it down more it's a rap.

I have the mbox and Iam having trouble with the IK plugins
they never worked since I bought the damn thing

Luckilly I have a stand alone version of T-RacKs

Digidesign needs to treat their consumers better and stop being
so money hungry and give people what they need when they buy their products.

Remember this do not get stuck in one program try to learn as many as you can in order to be able to make the distinctions between them
alot of cats do not understand headroom I know I dont but bits & Hz
I got that LOL. 8)
