where can I find multi-samples for the MPC1000?

I've noticed that this forum's site with sounds for sale has multi-samples, but are not compatible with the MPC1000. What gives? Are there any out there? This is a major deal maker/breaker for purchasing this unit. Please help someone!

I have a few on my site - some using my K5000S samples, some using samples on other sites. You can build up your own multisample sets if you can find any WAV multisamples on other sites. I've even tried using A-Wave to extract samples from SoundFonts - laborious, but it works...

Thanks for the info. One question. If I use the blank-media program and hook up a midi controller, will the midi information be mapped out across the keys of the controller or will I have to set them one at a time?

They should be mapped across the keyboard controller. As long as the blank program you use starts with midi number 35 and goes up from there.

It does go all the way from notes 35-98... but not in a straight line. Fine if you know if you'll be using the keyboard only, but if you ever want to enter melodies using the Pads... ouch!

So I've remapped the MIDI, and using "Chromatic" (5 octaves, 35-98, straight line) and "Octave" (4 octaves, 1 octave per page) mappings in the K5000S PGMs I have for download (http://stereoroid.com/sounds/samples/), I also keep blank "templates" for use when creating new PGMS...
